Let Paying Guests Log In to Pay Rent and Raise Complaints
Most PG owners in India already ‘have WhatsApp collection.’ The problem is that every guest uses your personal number as the helpdesk. A paying guest login is a separate door: current residents see their invoice, pay, and raise a complaint without you typing the same reply twenty times.
What the guest should see
Outstanding rent, past invoices, a way to pay, and a way to open a ticket. That is enough. They do not need your occupancy dashboard or other tenants’ data.
Limit access to people currently staying. Alumni and enquiry leads do not get the same login. That keeps bulk notices and dues aligned with who actually lives there this month.
What you stop doing
Forwarding UPI screenshots into a folder, arguing about last month’s EB share in chat, and being the only person who knows whether bed 12 paid. The record sits on the invoice; the guest can see it.
How this differs from a tenant marketplace app
RentTick is software for the owner’s property, not a listing site that sends you tenant leads. Guest login is for people you already accepted. If you need vacancy marketing, that is a different product — we do not pretend otherwise.
